Sign of the Week, “thank you.”On Saturday Eric and I took down the rest of our Christmas decorations. Later we went to our Goddaughter, Christa’s, 6th birthday party. It’s hard to believe that she is already 6 years old because I remember when she was born. She was also such a tiny little one when she was baptized. I can’t believe how quickly the time goes. I’m sure I will feel that same way about my own children.
On Sunday Mrs. Thames, Aunt Erlinda, Aunt Loretta, Amber, and Chase came over to help me decorate my house. Like I mentioned before I am having a 30th birthday party. I wanted to have my house mostly decorated before I started back to work since I knew I wouldn’t have a lot of time then. We got a good majority of the decorating done! We also discussed my shower and I made the list for them of people to invite. This shower will be for my dad’s side of the family and friends.
On Monday I started back to work. It was a good day back and I came with the “Countdown to Baby Thames” attitude. It will be here before I know it. My students were excited to be back and wanted to tell me all about their holidays. Later that night, Baby Thames and I went to Aunt Loretta’s house to celebrate her boyfriend, John’s, birthday. We had dinner as we always do on Family Night, and he had his cake and opened presents.
Once I got home I made a calendar of all of the baby/parenting classes that Eric and I will be attending. I figured I had better put it in calendar form so that both of us could keep up with it. What many of you know about me is I’m a nerd when it comes to learning new things and taking classes. I absolutely enjoy taking classes, as crazy as that sounds. So, needless to say, we are booked up for the months of February and March!
For a pregnancy update…my tummy is officially big. Many people still say that it looks small to them but I don’t think so. I took a few pictures for you to look at and decide for yourself! One of the newest feelings I had this week was being kicked under my ribs. I have been feeling a lot more movement further up my stomach. I used to only notice kicking/movement in the lower part of my stomach but now I feel it much higher. It has been a very weird feeling.
On Friday night my best friend Amanda came to visit me. We sat and talked for a good 4 hours. That’s relatively normal for us when we finally do get together. We have the kind of friendship that you don’t necessarily have to talk to each other every day, or even see each other real often, but you know one another is there when you need them. When we were younger we literally spent every day with one another. I guess that’s the real definition of a friend. I enjoyed her company Friday night!
