Day 146 (August 20, 2010) – Bow time

Today Dad and Aunt Linda came over to visit.

She and I both had on our black and white. I will have to dress her like me now while I can because I’m certain she won’t let me do it later. I had to make her a bow to go with her outfit as well. I have started making bows for her now to match many of her outfits! While we were at the mall Daddy had his first experience with changing her in a public restroom. They both did fantastic according to Daddy!

Annaliese loves to look at herself in the mirror and “kiss the baby!”

She’s also: putting both feet in the air, bringing her feet to her mouth, and rolling over on the changing table. Exciting things are happening these days!

Day 145 (August 19, 2010) – Exersaucer time

Tonight we tried Annaliese in Chase’s old Exersaucer. She had a ball but looked like such a tiny little thing in the big opening. I remember that Chase just loved this thing so hopefully Annaliese will think it’s great too!

Day 144 (August 18, 2010) – Playing with Lauren

Today we played with Lauren since she had spent the night. She loves to take care of Annaliese. She is going to be my best babysitter, I just know it! She doesn’t even mind doing the “dirty work.”

Later on I went to a meeting so Annaliese stayed home with Daddy. Speaking of “dirty work” Daddy had some too because Annaliese had a major blowout while I was gone. (She’ll love me later for putting this on the blog…Sorry Annaliese)

Day 143 (August 17, 2010) – First Pool Day

Today Annaliese went in the pool for the first time with Mommy at Aunt Linda’s. She did really well. Kriss had found her a little floating boat so we put her in that for a little bit and the rest of the time I held her. She loved to sit on the steps with me and watch Maison and Lauren swimming around. Then Godfather, Brandon, and Tay came over and brought her a T-shirt from New York City from their trip. After swimming Lauren came and had a sleep over with us.

Day 142 (August 16, 2010) – I’m hungry!

Annaliese has gotten so good about turning toward me when she’s hungry and wants to eat. I am really following her lead these days. After I nursed her this morning I laid her down in our bed. Quila came over to go back to sleep too!
We went to Grammys tonight and watched our show.

Day 141 (August 15, 2010) – Laughing with my cousin

Today we went to Godmommy’s house and Annaliese laughed and laughed with Chase. He would run around, through himself on the ground, and jump up and down and Annaliese thought that was the best thing in the world. Annaliese loves her cousins! All the playing got Annaliese tired and tonight she slept 12 hours with 1 wake in between after 6 hours! Way to go, Little One!

Day 140 (August 14, 2010) – First Beach Day – Corolla, N.C.

We took Annaliese to the beach for the first time today. It was also her first trip out of the state. We went to Corolla, N.C. to drive on the beach. Eric and I have always enjoyed driving on the beach here and in Hatteras. We were so happy to be able to take our baby with us this time. Grammy, Granddaddy, and Quila went too!

First time for feet in the sand!

Daddy took Annaliese to the water for her first touch of the ocean. They waited for the perfect wave.

Touched the sand first.

Then the water and she didn't even flinch!

Quila enjoyed herself too!

She enjoyed the beach air and even took a nap.

Family photos on the beach!

Daddy marked the special occasion!

Day 139 (August 13, 2010) – I can hold my own bottle!

Today we went to Water Country with Grammy & Scrammy (Aunt Loretta) and one of their friends. On the way home we stopped at Cracker Barrel to eat. During dinner I took Annaliese to the car to have a bottle. She laid on Grammy’s seat and held it all by herself. The bottle is practically as big as she is because I didn’t have anymore small bottles left to use for the day. I was so proud of her because she doesn’t really get a lot of practice with having a bottle! Way to go, Annaliese!
