Day 140 (August 14, 2010) – First Beach Day – Corolla, N.C.

We took Annaliese to the beach for the first time today. It was also her first trip out of the state. We went to Corolla, N.C. to drive on the beach. Eric and I have always enjoyed driving on the beach here and in Hatteras. We were so happy to be able to take our baby with us this time. Grammy, Granddaddy, and Quila went too!

First time for feet in the sand!

Daddy took Annaliese to the water for her first touch of the ocean. They waited for the perfect wave.

Touched the sand first.

Then the water and she didn't even flinch!

Quila enjoyed herself too!

She enjoyed the beach air and even took a nap.
