Day 220 (November 2, 2010) – Election Day and Falling Down

Today Annaliese accompanied Daddy and I on a walk to our voting station around the corner. Later on, Daddy moved Annaliese’s mattress down and put her new mesh, breathable bumper on. Lately, we have noticed Annaliese’s limbs sticking out of the slats in her crib so we had to buy the bumper pad. Today was also the first time Annaliese fell and bumped her head while attempting to pull up on something. Since she is trying to pull up on everything now, tumbles are becoming routine. She fell 4 times (not hard) just today.

Day 219 (November 1, 2010) – First Bib Overalls

The pretty range of colors!

Today Annaliese sported her first pair of overalls. I think overalls on babies are so cute and so of course on my little one I couldn't help but take a few pictures! Fake coughing has been Annaliese’s new favorite thing. I don’t know why she likes the sound of it but she is does it all of the time. She has also started to pull up on our TV stand. Guess we are on to Baby Proofing Level 2. Annaliese did great at Little Gym today. She is a lot more advanced than the other children in her class with her gross motor development. After Little Gym and a sip of milk in the car we headed to Trader Joe’s and Fresh Market to buy some organic fruits and veggies. Later Mommy came home and made some food. Annaliese slept 6 hours tonight before needing a feeding…that’s good for her!

Day 218 (October 31, 2010) – Happy 1st Halloween, Annaliese!

Today Annaliese tried apples for the first time and LOVED them! Annaliese was a bee for her first Halloween. The costume was made by a friend of mine and it looked so cute! Today I took some pictures of my two witches and then of my two bees!

For Halloween we always go to Aunt Linda’s for dinner and then walk around her neighborhood. The whole family (including Quila) had a blast walking around and Annaliese did great for her first time Trick-or-Treating! She went up to the door some of the time with Lauren and Chase. Quila got tired of walking and took Annaliese’s spot in the stroller for a while. Her candy bag was raided by all the boy cousins in the family that were too old to Trick-or-Treat! Both of my bees were worn out by the end of the night!

Dad all dressed up for a night of dancing.

Day 217 (October 30, 2010) – Officially Pulling Up, Daddy Carves the Pumpkin

Today Daddy carved Annaliese’s first pumpkin that we had gotten at the Pumpkin Patch. Eric has always enjoyed doing the carving so he did the whole thing by himself.

Today when we went to eat Mexican Annaliese stayed at Grammy’s house. While she was there she pulled up for the first time all the way to her feet while holding on to the coffee table.

Later on she did it while she was in her crib so we moved the mattress down a notch tonight.

Day 216 (October 29, 2010) – Banana juice?

Today we tried bananas again but this time we used a mesh teether. She did great with it and seemed to enjoy her banana much more than the first day! I think bananas are a winner! Tonight we went to a Tastefully Simple party at Michelle and Ian’s. Annaliese seemed a little overwhelmed with the people and kind of stuck with Mommy all night.

Day 215 (October 28, 2010) – I CAN CRAWL!!!

Tonight Annaliese crawled for the first time and I mean a true crawl and not just an army crawl. We were at Aunt Loretta’s for Family Night and Boo and I had her down on the floor. Annaliese was closer to Boo and she headed toward me on all fours! She crawled 4 times tonight so it was definitely confirmed. All the fam was so excited to have been there to witness it. We were sorry that Daddy didn’t see it on the very first time but he did see her later that same night. Yay Annaliese, we are so proud of you. We also tried bananas with cereal that Boo fed her tonight and she liked them that way. All the crawling made her tired and she fell asleep in Daddy’s arms on Aunt Rhetta’s couch.
