Day 225 (November 7, 2010) – Sunday Dinner and Bath

Today we went shopping at Sams and Wal-mart with Grammy. Annaliese did good riding around in the cart. Later we went to Grammy’s for dinner. While we were there I made more baby food and Uncle Clay helped make it. He’s such a good uncle! Annaliese got a bath in the sink tonight. She did pretty good sitting up but Grammy still held her anyway. She got a little curly-que up top too!!!

Day 224 (November 6, 2010) – Monarch Pride

Today Eric and I went back to our Alma Mater, ODU for a football game. We went with Brandon and Tay who are still students there as well as my cousins Amber and Jordon. My friend Amanda’s family was nice enough to share their season tickets with us so we enjoyed Mr. Rice and Geoffrey’s company as well. The game was great! I had to bring my “throwback” pom-poms, from when I went to ODU, to the ga

me. I’ve been gone so long…ha,ha,ha…that the pom-poms aren’t even the same colors anymore!

Later we went out to dinner. Annaliese stayed with my cousins, Kriss and Lauren. She did great!

Annaliese has been moving her hand in a way that resembles the sign for “milk” but I am not certain that she is actually signing. I’ve been doing it with her long enough I’d like to believe that’s what she’s doing!

Day 223 (November 5, 2010) – R.I.P Buffy (the dog)

Today Eric, Annaliese, Quila, and I went to Eric’s parent’s house to say good-bye to their beloved dog, Buffy. Buffy had been getting very old for a while. She couldn’t see, hear, and lately has been having trouble going to the bathroom. I guess when you lose control of all of those things and you are a dog that lived a long and good life it’s time to go. So, Eric’s parents had to put Buffy to sleep today. We took pictures and Quila said her very special bye-bye to Buffy in “dog language.” Quila really looked up to Buffy when she was little and had first joined our family. Buffy “showed her the ropes” or the “best backyard spots” if you know what I mean. She also taught Quila how to roll in duck poop, a talent that Quila has never forgotten, despite how many time she gets the “ever dreaded” B A T H when she comes inside! Buffy was always good for getting Quila to eat her food too because as I have said before our VERY picky Chihuahua has a hard time eating sometimes. We would always try to bargain with Quila and tell her, “Hurry up Quila, you better eat your food or Buffy’s gonna get it” and the tricked worked every time! Anyway it was a hard day saying good bye to Buffy but she will always be remembered.

Later when we came home Annaliese got one of her first bumps with a little red spot on her head to show for it.

Annaliese tried squash for the first time today and did pretty well. She was a little unsure at first but ended up eating everything. If she’s anything like her daddy and mommy she will love squash and zucchini…especially summer squash and zucchini grown in your own garden!

Day 222 (November 4, 2010) – Fun with Cereal

Annaliese did the funniest thing with her cereal today. When some of it would drip on to her tray she would try to get it up with her mouth! Then she would stare at it on her tray. She really enjoys eating! Later on we went to Family Night at Aunt Loretta’s.

Day 221 (November 3, 2010) – Polka-Dot Girl

Today we went to Little Gym and played a game called, “Pass the Baby.” We sit in a circle and each mom has a turn to hold each baby as we pass them around the circle. Annaliese was a little unsure about all of the passing but did pretty well. Later we came home and took a few pics in her crib with her new polka-dot sheet. I know Annaliese is going to be a Polka-Dot girl because Mommy loves polka-dots! She’s camouflaged…can you find the baby?
