Annaliese’s 4th Day – Going to the Doctor

Annaliese had her first doctor’s appointment today. Eric took her to the scale to have her weighed and she had dropped under 5 pounds. She was still within 94% of her birth weight so I don’t have to supplement with formula…yippee! She is feeding every 2 hours at this time in fact I even had to feed her at the doctor. She looked very healthy and they did not hear the clicking in her hip today. More family came to visit when we got home.

On our way to the doctor!

We receive flowers, fruit baskets, and lots of gifts. The people and the presents just kept coming.

The first night home Annaliese stayed in her onesie from the hospital. The second night she slept in one of Eric’s socks! I know this sounds strange but it was super adorable. She was so tiny that we didn’t have any clothes to fit her. Part of the reason was that we hadn’t bought any preemie clothes and the other part was that she came on my shower day where I would have gotten some more clothes for her. Anyway the sock served the purpose. We had a long sleeve onesie with mittens to cover the top half but her poor little legs didn’t have any covering. We put her in the sock, swaddled her up in a blanket, and she was completely content for the rest of the night!
