Annaliese’s 3rd Day – Coming Home Party

It was a rainy, chilly day when we came home. We were able to leave the hospital in the afternoon. The baby had dropped about 4 ounces. She slept on the way home and when we rounded the corner to our street we saw a stork sign in our front yard. Eric’s parents had surprised us and had the sign delivered. They had come over earlier in the day and cleaned up the house some, washed our bed linens, and brought Quila over. When we came in the door I came in first and greeted Quila. Next came Eric with the baby. All Quila did was sniff her and go on but yet she wanted to be right in somebody's lap if they were holding her!

Later in the day Aunt Erlinda came over to bring all of the food that was intended for the shower. We had a “Coming Home” party with all of our family and they helped us eat the food.
