Day 230 (November 12, 2010) – “Ma,ma,ma,ma”

Okay, so today, as Annaliese is 7 months and 16 days old, she officially said the word, “Ma, ma.” Yes, her first word will go down in the books as, “ma,ma” and NOT “Da,da” as most kids do! I do believe all the coaching by me had a lot to do with it!!! Oh she just said, “Ma, ma, ma, ma” over and over and it just melted my heart. Now she was doing it when she wanted to be held…boy, she learns early how to get what she wants!!!

Today we helped Michelle get ready for Ian’s birthday party. We went to Sams, went to Little Gym and signed up for the next semester, and went shopping and all the while Annaliese was a great baby!

Later Annaliese tried sweet potatoes and loved them. She also sat for a while on the floor and entertained herself. Sitting straddle split with legs apart definitely helped her stay up a lot longer. She even sat and played long enough for me to wrap some presents. Annaliese has also started doing this funny grunting sound while nursing. I’m not sure what that’s all about but nursing continues to get more and more interesting every day!
