Today we took Annaliese for her well baby visit and she is doing great.

Height: 25 1/8 inches (25%)
Weight: 13.15 pounds (8%)
My questions this time mainly had to do with feeding but there were some others as well. Since she was a little congested still we asked about that but there isn’t much that can be done to help her. The feeding questions were all answered and we will now start rice cereal for a while and other things one at a time. She had to get her shots today and they were just as sad as they always have been. Daddy held her again while I cringed at the end of the table. She’s did a great job, nursed, had Tylenol, and went to sleep.

We decided that we would get her ears pierced today too so we headed over to the mall. We figured that we might as well get everything done at one time, give her the Tylenol that she needed on this day, give her lots of extra TLC and then it would be all done. I had my ears pierced as a baby and I still have the same holes without ever having had any problems. I talked to the lady at the store for a while before I decided to go ahead with it. She said that she had been doing it for 8 years and that she did it on both of her own girls as well. I felt really comfortable with the lady and she did a great job. Annaliese sat with Daddy and again I cringed and teared up as it was happening. I thought that they were going to do them both at the same time but they said they don’t do that anymore. By the time Annaliese realized that one was done the other was already finished. She cried for about 30 seconds which was just awful for me but then it was over and she was fine. I am SOOOO glad that is over. I had a gut wrenching feeling all day just thinking that I had done that to her but I’m glad it’s all finished now.
