We had to say “bye, bye” today to 3 things.
1) Her voice – Annaliese was hoarse today. She had a low grade temperature of 99.4. She was held all day…which is not unusual because she is held all of the time! I LOVE holding her and so does everyone else that comes to visit.
2) Umbilical cord – Annaliese lost her umbilical cord today and NO I did not save it like some parents do.
3) A Family Friend – R.I.P Mike – Today I had to go to a viewing for a very dear friend of our family, Mike Meadows. He died ironically of a brain aneurism on my Uncle Dave’s birthday. My Uncle Dave died of the same thing and they were the best of friends. I left Annaliese with Daddy and Granddaddy while Lynn drove me to the viewing (I wasn’t allowed to drive for the 2 weeks following my delivery). I was very sad and apprehensive about leaving her but felt that I should go to pay my respects to Mike’s family. I did not leave any milk for Eric so I was on a 3 hour time limit. Luckily I got back in enough time before she even really woke up and wanted anything. Daddy did GREAT for his first time babysitting. If I thought I loved that man before I love him even more as a Daddy!
