Over the weekend Eric went out of town with his dad and his brother. I went and visited my best friend, Amanda, to tell her the news. When I got there I told her that I had something to tell her and of course she knew what I was going to say before I even said it! I told her that she couldn’t wait too long to have a baby of her own so that our babies could grow up together like we did (we’ve been best friends since the 3rd grade).
It was another long week at school. The highlight of school was our Field Trip to Farm Days at Chesapeake City Park. The coolest part of the trip was that the person who heads up the whole thing is my cousin, Roy. I got to see both him and Jeannie (his wife). My students and I had a great time. Later that night, my friend and neighbor Penny came over with her son Tristan. Our husbands were playing poker in the garage and we were hanging out inside. Her husband, DJ and their roommate Bud have a $20.00 bet going on of which one thinks we’re having a boy/girl. They have a long way to wait to see who wins the bet!
